This is my first completed polyester resin casting, in what I hope will become a series. It is a self portrait. The hardware in the right hip is representative of my 2006 surgery, the pills in the belly represent various and assorted bouts against depression, the patch on the back is my “crazy patch,” and the laser lens in the head is the beautiful brain trapped within all this mess.
This self-portrait sounds very interesting to me. I’d love to see it but it doesn’t seem to be here anymore.
Can you put it back please and let me know? I make self portraits too, and I had hip surgery too, on my right hip. Keep up the beautiful painting!
